FA1000S_ƒΖ
FA1000S_ƒΖ is a coupling device for laser beams between free space and optical fibers using an aspherical lens.
A full unit assembled with micrometer stages
FA1000S_DM
FA1000S_DM is a full unit of FA1000S_ƒΖ assembled using with the micrometer stages, Base Plate, Stage Bracket, and Lens Holder Bracket (See the images shown in the left). Special Wrench and Pinhole Target come with this unit for your convenience as accessories. We recommend the customers oversea to purchase the full unit of FA1000S_DM, which will make you easy to start the project immediately.

Furusawa lab. at The University of Tokyo achieved 98% coupling efficiency in an evaluation setup shown in the figures below ( at the time of January 2013). In the experiment, Laser in TEM00 mode was inserted to FA1000S_DM, making fine alignment.
As shown in the following figure, "Sphere gimbal mechanism (Patent No. 5888775, JP)" with a sphere rotating element archives no translational shift during the adjustment. You can rotate the fiber axis without any shifting. It is enabled by the position of center of rotation which is located precisely at the tip of the fiber.

Adjustment screws are special fine-pitch threaded with very little backlash developed for ultra-stable mirror-mount, MM1000S. Also, "Soft Lock mechanism" (Patent Application No. 2005-352867, JP) is adopted in order to realize the long-term stability and operability. They will be great help to make it easy alignment, achieve long-term stability at the same time.

The height of the optical axis is about 2 inches from the base of the fiber aligner.

To boost the height of the optical axis, using five posts are recommended. Four posts should be installed on four long holes respectively and one post should be installed on M6TAP which is in center of the base.
